Masonry Material Exploration

As a student in our program, Lisa Patusky undertook a series of studies exploring the brick form, including its shape, materiality, and tectonic potential. She worked through casting, and also investigated the potential of rammed concrete through a case study of Zumthor’s Bruder Klaus Chapel. Her work was presented at the annual EDRA conference and later was commissioned for an interior installation.
