Connections Community High School: Socially and Environmentally Sustainable Design for Urban Communities

The design for Connections Community High School explores approaches to complex urban conditions by following the triple-bottom-line approach to sustainability that proposes to “do more good.” Place-based design considerations include initiatives that reduce energy consumption and enhance local social opportunities. The high school becomes a community hub with flexible programming that supports education, health and wellness, and civic engagement.
